Located at 150 E Cedar St, Cary, NC 27511, Lawrence Barbecue - Cary operates as a restaurant serving Cary in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

This place definitely did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in the door we knew we were in the right place for NC BBQ. The smell of the food knocks your socks off. Hostess saw us right away. Waitress was amazing, knowledgeable and helpful. Chef Durs makes bbq that you’ll be dreaming about for some time to come. Can not wait to go back! There’s so much more to eat! Brisket 11/10

This place definitely exceeded our expectations. I'd never heard of it before, we just happened to be walking in the area and decided to stop for lunch. Everything was delicious, especially the brisket -- wow, perfectly juicy with a crispy outer skin. Mac and baked beans were both great sides as well, although bummed they were out of the potato salad (ended getting slaw instead which was just ok). Server was nice, and timing wasn't too bad- about 30 mins from entrance until food was delivered to our table. Would definitely come back again.

My friend liked the pulled pork sandwich. I thought the bun was great but the pork is just alright Brisket cook was great but everything was so sweet, the bread, the brisket , the pickles. As a prediabetic I won't be coming here much, but overall not too shabby. Seating outside is a nice option on a good day Bit pricey especially for the drinks

Tangy, melts in your mouth & easy to eat. Portions are perfect. We ordered the combo platter (brisket, ribs and 2 sides: collard greens & egg salad) plus the delicious brisket burger. We chose this place because it recently won an award for the best new restaurant- and it lived up to its reputation. Casual and rustic atmosphere. Friendly staff. The best part was the food- best barbecue I’ve had in years! WARNING: melts in your mouth so might think you didn’t get enough so you will contemplate if you should order more & try everything on the menu…. You shouldπŸ˜‰ Highly recommend.

Really happy to see this exciting new restaurant open in downtown Cary! Such a cool spot and the building they used was rehabilitated in what looks like a thoughtful and well-done way. There was a nice area for our family to wait to be seated, but it wasn’t a big area so other people waiting were standing around with nowhere to go and watching the diners eating, not great. Maybe a reservation system could help this, I really don’t know, but right now on a busy weekend night, you can expect a wait. If the weather is good, there is a nice outdoor area with more seating so that will be nice. The food is really nice, they take BBQ further than most places with really neat combinations and ingredients for tacos or sandwiches. Or, you can get the BBQ alone. I agree with some other reviewers that I’d like to see a thicker sauce offered, something more KC style, there were several east Carolina thin sauces, how about one thicker one for people from the Midwest! Some of the meat I got had too much fat for me, and also I got a bite of super hard burnt pork that was a bad surprise in my mouth. I’d like a little more selectiveness from the person selecting the meat for my plate. Other than
